Inspired by the purest ice caps on the planet, Alaska Vodka is a company with spirit. The brand is handcrafted with ultra-pure spring water, the finest quality grains, and a sweet hint of honey. Its distinctive taste is a trademark, just like the far north ice is the most beautiful trait of Alaska.
Alaska Vodka asked us to create a corporate website as unique as company’s trademark of taste and quality. In the process of getting to know the brand, we’ve learned fascinating facts about the production process and drink’s secret ingredients. We were so curious to hear about the shungite rocks used during distillation. Shungite rocks were part of a meteor, which collapse on earth some 2 billion years ago. Theory has is that the meteor came from the explosion of the planet Phaeton which gives the rocks peculiar qualities.
Shungite rocks seem to absorb, filter and purify any harmful elements or bacteria, giving liquids a healing power. A theory even presumes that life itself started from within shungite water, as its structural elements are present in all living beings. %s Hearing company’s passion for taste and quality, we were inspired to create a website that advocates the story of Alaska vodka and shows the untamed wilderness and extreme beauty of its origins.
The website design is an Alaskan wonderland of pure ice, floating snowflakes and mountain mist that take you right to the heart of the brand. Our journey starts at the top of Alaska’s highest mountain range revealing the exceptional purity of the spirit. Scrolling along, viewers can take different roads to discover the crafting of the product and the quality of the ingredients behind the authentic taste of Alaska Vodka.
Through carefully chosen images, video frames and moving elements, we introduce viewers to Alaska’s pristine scenery, spring waters and highest quality of grains. It’s those elements that give the spirit’s character and inner strength. Alaska vodka is also distilled 7 times reducing the alcohol content to 37,5%. Each step of the distillation process leads to its precise mild taste and perfect purity. We’ve paid attention to every detail to display the quality of the brand in the most spectacular way.
Alaska Vodka sent Bulgarian alpinist Doychin Boyanov to search for the ultimate purity with the challenge to “Conquer Alaska” and bring back ice from the tallest peak in North America- Mount McKinley (“Denali”). What an adventure. The story unfolds through a vertical scroll and timeframe animation. This was Doychin’s second attempt to climb the peak. Viewers follow his crew’s story as they trek, tow equipment with a sleigh and climb from one base camp to the next on the way to Denali. The low temperatures and strong winds do not stop the crew. The adventure culminates with a video of Doychin finding the purest ice on earth.

By embedding an element of a human challenge in Alaska Vodka’s story, we aimed at displaying a visual experience that truly resonates with customers.
Besides the website, our team created a very popular social media campaign, shared live as the Alaska Vodka expedition was on it’s way to Mount McKinley. We have been working with Alaska Vodka’s holding conglomerate for over 7 years. We are happy and humbled by company’s trust and loyalty. There have been no dull moments collaborating with such a dynamic and forward-looking corporation. It’s been 7 years and we’ve loved every bit of it!
